This Month We Honor SEPTEMBER’S HARVEST Moon.
Other names for this moon include: CORN MOON, FRUIT MOON, AND VINE MOON.
This month’s moon got its name because September is often the month for the “big harvest”. The sabbat, Mabon (or the Autumn Equinox) occurs during this month. Mabon is time for taking stock of everything you’ve accomplished so far, and making changes to make sure you have a balanced, peaceful winter season.
Important Dates:
August 30th - New Moon - Super Moon
September 5th - First Quarter Moon (Waxing Moon)
September 13/14th - Full Moon
September 21st - Mabon or Autumn Equinox + Third Quarter Moon (Waning Moon)
September 28th - New Moon
The New Moon Ceremony Incantation to balance our energy and find perfect alignment:
“We’ve suffered pain, we’ve felt great love.
We honor the magic and the moon above.
We release any judgement we’ve held in the past.
May we live in alignment, our spell has been cast.”
Intention: TO LET GO OF WHAT NO LONGER SERVES YOU.
The September moon is a time for harvesting all of your viable ideas, goals and desires, while letting everything that no longer serves you gently fall away. Spend time this month healing, forgiving, and releasing the old to make room for all of the wonderful new additions to your life.
Dear Moon and dear Universe,
I am excited to co-create with you throughout the lunar cycle of the Harvest Moon. I know I live in a world full of magic and possibility, and I choose to step into my power every single day. As I electronically send up my intentions to you, I already know my desires are a done deal. I’m a goddess who manifests all her desires beautifully, and I know the Universe always delivers in the most magical, unexpected ways. I believe everything that unfolds over this next lunar cycle is for my highest good.
I will write these goals without censoring or limiting myself. Anything is possible. I give myself permission to go after the biggest, craziest, wildest dreams and I am guided by my intuition. I know that it’s totally cool to change my mind. My desires can change just as the moon changes from phase to phase. I embrace fluidity. I embrace divine timing. And I’m so ready for this.
Note: The most powerful affirmations are written in the first person and in present tense (as if you’ve already achieved your goal) with a focus on the positive aspects of your goal. For example instead of: “ Get rid of credit card debt.” say, “I have more than enough money for everything I’ve already purchased and everything I desire to purchase.”
Note from Julie: Your answers will never be shared with anyone.
“I look at everything in my life and I harvest everything good. Everything else, I give back to the earth. May it honor and serve the needs of another.
Seven-Day Harvest Moon Spell
This month for the full moon ceremony, we’ll be doing a seven-day spell. We will activate it together during the ceremony, and will continue to put energy into for the following seven days. To participate in the spell, enter your intention below. Begin with “I harvest the energy of…..” Example: “I harvest the energy of creativity and courage.”
Next, set your alarm for a meaningful time for the next seven days such as 11:11, 2:22, 3:33 or 12:34. You can also choose to use your birthday, but as a time, like April 29th could be 4:29. Just make sure that the time you choose to reinforce your spell feels special and magical to you personally.
When you alarm goes off each day, close your eyes and visualize the candle in the ceremony video.
Energetically reconnect to the power you felt during the ceremony. When you’re ready, whisper your intention. Over the next seven days, look for signs that your intention is manifesting.
