THE Ostara ORACLE CARD || THE MODERN GODDESS ORACLE DECK

Trust that it’s coming.

Ostara is a sabbat that celebrates the first day of spring. From now until Midsummer, the days will get longer. In most places, it’s still pretty cold and gloomy when Ostara comes along, but the flowers are coming and the air is charged with new possibilities.

When the Ostara card appears in your spread, you might be feeling discouraged because the thing you’ve been trying to manifest just won’t come to you. It’s frustrating because you’ve done everything right and you’re at a loss.

The Ostara card is a reminder to trust that it’s coming. Sure as spring, your manifestation is moving closer every day. Have a little faith, Goddess. Don’t you trust your powers? You know you can make this happen, and in fact, you already have.

The work has been done. The intention has been sent up into the universe, and you’re right—there is nothing more you need to do.

You just have to wait a little longer and trust that it’s coming. Because you live in the physical world, it’s sometimes difficult to make things happen exactly where, when, and how you want them to. Those parts of manifestation are usually out of your control.

Don’t waste your energy rushing things along or forcing things when it’s not quite right. Don’t fill up on fast food French fries, when you know you’re going out to a five-star restaurant later that evening. Hold out for what you really want. It’s coming, Goddess, but you already know that.

Practical Magic for the Modern Goddess

To celebrate Ostara, decorate your altar with lavender and amethyst. Sprinkle bits of dried basil on your spell candles to energetically prep for the abundance that is on the way.

Go from room to room in your home and cleanse the energy with a broom or incense.

Plant seeds in an egg carton that you’ll relocate to your witch’s garden when the days warm up. Those herbs and flowers will bring you all kinds of magic once they grow big enough.

Ostara is the perfect time to start a manifesting journal. Each morning, write down several things that you’re grateful for that you believe will happen during the course of that day. Look back at the journal entry each evening and check off the desires that have manifested. Any desires that haven’t manifested yet can go on the next day’s list.
