THE knot magic ORACLE CARD || THE MODERN GODDESS ORACLE DECK

If you like it, put a knot on it.

Have you ever worn a friendship bracelet before? That’s a form of knot magic that has made its way into mainstream culture. Knot magic works by capturing the feelings and energy of the person at the exact moment she ties the knot. That energy is preserved within that knot for as long as the knot holds.

You can use knot magic with absolutely any intention you want, but many times, it’s a way to create a lasting bond between two people. Think about the saying “tying the knot” for couples getting married.

That’s the message of the Knot Magic card.

Now is the time to consider any opportunities to form partnerships in your life—this could be in regards to your career, your family relationships, or a romantic relationship.

In your professional life, consider new opportunities through collaboration or ways to deepen any of your current partnerships.

In your personal life, think about what current interests and relationships you hold that have brought you joy and made you a better person. Commit to those things in a more meaningful way.

If you look around and discover you don’t have any viable options for partnerships, put yourself out there and attract some awesome like-minded people into your life! Go out on dates. Actually talk to people at your next work conference! Say yes to that random invite.

Many times, two is better than one.

The Knot Magic card can also hint that a wedding is in your near future.

Practical Magic for the Modern Goddess

For all of you goddesses who are interested in performing love spells, knot magic is a great way to go about it. Why? Because if the object of your affection turns out to be a flop, simply untie your knot and end your spell!

For a love spell, tie an overhand knot on pink or red cord. (Make sure it’s some kind of material you’ll be able to untie if things go awry.) Then as you hold the knot between your fingers, visualize a perfect evening with your love interest—cuddling on the couch, walking on the beach, dancing at a club, whatever you’d love to do with this person. End your visualization with the two of you kissing. For best results, try to spend about ten to fifteen minutes visualizing without interruption.

To strengthen the connection between a friend, family member, or a lover, create two bracelets out of ribbon, embroidery floss, or hemp. Have your friend tie one of the bracelets around your wrist and say something she loves about you.  Do the same with your friend’s bracelet and tell her what you love about her as well. If your bracelet falls off, it might be a sign to release that relationship. However, if you still want that relationship in your life, just tie the bracelet back on with another knot.
