THE cauldron ORACLE CARD || THE MODERN GODDESS ORACLE DECK

Magic is emerging.

Traditionally, cauldrons are symbols of creation. They bring forth life, color, beauty, and magic from the depths of the universe. The three legs of a cauldron represent the three elements of life as we know it—mind, body, and spirit.

If you draw the Cauldron card, get excited, Goddess! It means the next phase of your life is about to begin, and it’s yours to create. The choices you make in the coming hours, days, and weeks will dictate what your new life will look like. This is a card of joyful transformation. You can breathe a sigh of relief, Goddess. This transition won’t be painful or stressful. It will flow naturally and beautifully. Allow this change to happen and keep sending out clear intentions to the universe. Your intentions will travel into the universe faster than usual, and manifestations will arrive in your life quickly.

The Cauldron card could also indicate the birth of a child or a new idea in the near future.

Practical Magic for the Modern Goddess

Cauldrons come in all sizes, but many modern goddesses use mini cast-iron cauldrons that hold a cup or two of water. They’re sold online and are even available in some big box stores that carry cookware.

The first thing you’ll want to do when you get your cauldron is season it. To do this, wash your cauldron with mild soap and water. Dry thoroughly. Heat your oven to 375 degrees F. Pour a bit of vegetable oil on your cauldron and sprinkle a pinch or two of sea salt. Rub the oil and salt all over the cauldron and place it in upside down in the oven for one hour.

You might want to place a piece of foil or a cookie sheet on a lower rack to catch any oils that drip off your cauldron. Be careful when removing your cauldron! It will stay hot for a long time after you take it out of the oven.

Use your cauldron to burn incense or make potions in. You can also fill your cauldron with moon-charged water and gaze into it to scry.
