THE AIR ORACLE CARD || THE MODERN GODDESS ORACLE DECK
See a different truth.
Allow the ever-changing, ethereal element of air to shake up your world.
When the Air card appears, you may be called to look at your situation in a new way. Shift your perspective. This might take a bit of creativity. It’s hard to reassess or change your long-held beliefs, but don’t close your mind to new, potentially life-changing information. Remember, your interpretation is just one way of analyzing something. Maybe there’s another truth. Perhaps there is something deeper at play. Let the element of air lend you its power to open up your mind to new possibilities.
The Air card can also appear when you’ve gotten stuck in limiting ideas or false beliefs regarding what you are truly capable of. Now is the time to examine those fears. Ask yourself, “Is this true?” Sometimes it is, but sometimes only a small part of it is true. The element of air will give you the mental clarity to see things as they are.
This doesn’t mean you need to overanalyze or make the “sensible” choice. The element of air urges you to simply look a little longer at a problem or situation. What obstacles or fears are you facing today? What assumptions have you made? What is true and what is left over from past wounding?
Practical Magic for the Modern Goddess
Journaling can connect you with the element of air by helping you discover what’s really going on—the true nature of the situation. Mugwort or Lotus incense can also increase mental abilities.
Slowly sipping a cup of dandelion tea as you meditate is another great way to open your mind to new ideas. The steam from the hot liquid can represent the element of air. Breathe it in and allow your mind to become more flexible.
The element of air is associated with the direction of East. Call this element to your sacred circle last, after calling in Earth to the North, Water to the West, and Fire to the South. The element of air can be represented in your circle or on your altar with a Swords tarot card, a cup of steaming liquid, a feather, the smoke from an herb bundle or incense stick, steam from an essential oil diffuser, or anything white, yellow, or purple.
